1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.enlightoacademy.com and the Enlighto Academy parent/teacher portal (together, the "Website").

By accessing the Website, creating an enquiry, or logging into the portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. Who may use the Website

  • The Website is intended for use by parents and legal guardians of students enrolled with or enquiring about Enlighto Academy, and by our teachers and staff.
  • Portal accounts are issued by us. Parents/guardians hold the account on behalf of their child. Students who are minors must not create or operate portal accounts independently.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to register an account or submit an enquiry.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us is true, accurate and current.

3. Our services

Enlighto Academy is a private coaching institute providing tuition and academic support for students of Classes 6 to 10 following the CBSE and GSEB curricula.

We are not a school or a board. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of CBSE, GSEB, or any school, board or government body. We do not issue school certificates, transfer certificates, or any statutory academic credential. Any reference on the Website to a curriculum or board is descriptive only.

4. Portal accounts and security

  • We issue each portal user a username and a temporary password, which you must change on first login.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it is being misused, shared, or used in breach of these Terms.
  • You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, probe or scan its systems, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access data belonging to any other student or family.

5. Fees and payments

  • Tuition fees, schedules and any applicable taxes are as communicated to you by us and as reflected in the invoices issued through the portal.
  • We do not operate an online payment gateway. The portal displays our UPI QR code and bank account details only as a convenience. All payments are made by you directly to our bank account through your own bank or UPI application. We do not collect or store your card, UPI PIN, banking password, OTP or any payment credentials.
  • Verify before you pay. Before making any UPI payment, you must confirm that the account holder name displayed in your own payment app matches the name shown in the portal. If it does not match, do not proceed, and contact us immediately.
  • After making a payment, you must inform us and share proof of payment. Payments may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in the portal after you have intimated us. The portal record is not a real-time bank feed.
  • A payment is treated as received only when the funds are credited to our bank account. An official receipt is issued by us through the portal.

6. Academic content and records

  • Marks, attendance, homework records, remarks and progress reports shown in the portal are internal assessment records maintained by Enlighto Academy. They are provided for your information and are not statutory academic records.
  • We take care to record data accurately, but clerical errors can occur. If you believe any record is incorrect, please contact us and we will review and correct it where warranted.
  • Study material, question papers, notes, presentations, worksheets and answer keys made available to you are for the personal, non-commercial use of the enrolled student only. You may not copy, distribute, publish, sell, upload, or share them with any person or platform outside your immediate family.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Website — including its name, logo, text, design, layout, graphics, course material and software — is owned by Enlighto Academy or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to view and use the Website for its intended purpose. All other rights are reserved.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Website for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose;
  • post, submit or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another person's rights;
  • impersonate any person, or misrepresent your relationship to a student;
  • upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to damage or disrupt the Website;
  • use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, copy or monitor the Website;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the portal.

9. Communications

By enrolling or submitting an enquiry, you agree that we may contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, and email regarding your child's attendance, academic progress, fee dues, schedules, and academy announcements. These are service communications essential to the relationship. You may ask us to change your preferred channel of contact at any time.

10. Third-party links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or applications (for example, a payment application, or a map). We do not control these and are not responsible for their content, practices or policies. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

11. Availability of the Website

We aim to keep the Website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Website may be unavailable during maintenance, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Website at any time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Website shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Enlighto Academy in the [three (3) months] immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Enlighto Academy, its founders, teachers and staff, from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified to portal users by email or through a portal notice. Your continued use of the Website after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time if you breach these Terms, or if your child ceases to be enrolled with us. On termination, your right to use the portal ends immediately.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gandhinagar, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Website.
